Surrey Fire and Rescue Service

Working with you, our aim is to make Surrey a safer place to live, work and do business. To do this and reduce the impact caused by fires and other emergencies, we will focus more attention on education, prevention and support for our vulnerable residents, helping them to live safely in their homes.

Consequently, the key to our success is a move from re-active to pro-active intervention, whilst still providing a first class emergency 999 service when you need us. To find out more about our values and our customer focus, see the Chief Fire Officer's corporate statement.

Our 2008-11 Public Safety Plan sets out the improvements we plan to make over the next three years. Surrey Fire and Rescue Service provides emergency cover and community safety advice across Surrey in three geographical areas. Each area has a dedicated area team comprising an area manager, a group manager, three or four borough managers depending on the area, and a station manager for each fire station.

Our headquarters is located in Reigate, Surrey and details on how to contact us for general information and advice can be found on our contact information page.

Our Chief Fire Officer and Surrey County Council's Executive Member for Safer and Stronger Communities are both members of the South East Region Fire and Rescue Services Management Board.
